    Do swimming pool sub panels require an insulated grounding conductor if fed from another sub panel without an insulated grounding conductor?

    it depends. the code made this contractor friendly in 2017. the 2014 code required that the equipment grounding  conductor had to be insulated. the 2017 said that it depended on the environment. read articles 680.14 and 680.25 from the 2017 nec. since we are on the 2015 mrc it is up to the ahj if he will approve your job if it is residential
